NDIS aims to develop participants’ ability to travel independently. If you are unable to travel independently, your transportation support may include reasonable and necessary taxi costs or other private transportation options. Students also receive transportation to and from school. Whether it’s a social event or a doctor’s appointment you’re attending, Prestige Lifestyle Care (PLC) can help you with your transportation needs.
Getting to and from locations can be a bit tricky and disorienting, but our support workers can travel with you wherever you need to go and can even help you figure out how to navigate public transport independently.
At Prestige Lifestyle Care (PLC) will work with you to find a solution for your travel needs. We will make sure you can get to your destination safely and on time.
Our transport services include:
- Driving you in our vehicles or access cab for physical disable person
- Accompanying you on public transport
- Trip planning before using public transport
- Work, Shopping, Medical appointments
- Community, Social & Civic events
- Visiting family and friends
- Accompanying holiday companion and etc.
This is especially so for clients whose disability makes it difficult to access transport. We can provide the support for clients to access taxis, rideshares, community vehicles, and other appropriate transport methods.
Depending on support level, a support worker can accompany the client with their travel needs through public transport or their own vehicle. Clients can also choose to develop skills in using public transport independently.
In order to provide our clients the upmost convenience, we offer travel needs for clients whose unfortunate circumstances make it difficult to access transport.
The main purpose of this service is to increase participants’ independence. With this NDIS Support, the participants are able to access equipment and aids related to personal transportation or training in public transportation. The NDIS can also fund for Vehicle modifications for private vehicles such as cars or other vehicles participants or their carers own.
