Shared Living
Shared living arrangements are a good solution for NDIS participants who do not want to live alone but prefer the company of roommates and a group of friends.
Shared living offers a great opportunity for participants to improve their social skills by meeting and making friends with new people and learning to help each other live independently.
Generally, the arrangement will consist of a residential unit in which two or more people with comparable needs live together. In addition to availing themselves of support provided by outside organisations, the residents help each other complete daily activities and share costs, developing lasting friendships along the way.
